This study introduces a low-density, 6-channel EEG framework for real-time estimation of emotional arousal in immersive VR, validated against peripheral physiology. EEG, ECG and eye-tracking were recorded from 34 participants during affective image viewing and a VR relaxation session. Using non-linear features and ensemble learning, the model reached 70.5% cross-subject accuracy. EEG-predicted arousal correlated strongly with saccadic velocity, and anxiety reduction was linked to a negative coupling between arousal and heart-rate variability, showing that low-density EEG can capture physiologically meaningful arousal in immersive VR.
